Dear Karen and Debbie,

It's one year today since I first called your office on a Sunday afternoon.

It's very hard to believe that one call transformed my life. I really believed that I would never be as happy as I am today and the rest of my life would be spent on my own. Since that first call, as you know, through Sara Eden, I met Cherry. We have both said many times that, if it hadn't been for Sara Eden, we could never have met our ideal person, as there is no way we could have met in our normal day-to-day lives or in our social circle. You will have guessed from the postcards and Cherry's change of address that we are very, very happy together. Cherry often tells me that she had just about given up hoping to meet the 'right' person and can't believe what has happened. I can't believe my luck. I have to say, if I had written a list of everything I was looking for in a partner, Cherry would have met every criterion and more. I want to thank you for changing my life and for making two people very happy. By now you will not be surprised to know that we shall be marrying on the 12th December, one year to the day since we met. Once again, a big THANK YOU and, by the way, Cherry says we are sorry but we won't be renewing our membership when it expires!
