What a fantastic few days we have had at our Sara Eden office in Windsor.
So many exciting things have happened. We watched the flowers and wedding cars arrive, then the horses for the procession. The crowds grew and grew and grew and we decorated our offices to wish Harry and Meghan a long and happy life together.
Marks and Spencer changed its name to Markle and Sparkle and an enterprising optician  boasted a banner saying “Come to us we can make your teeth sparkle like Meghan Markle”. The American film crews were out in force with many of the female presenters wearing high stiletto heels. The next day many of them had more sensible footwear on – they don’t have cobbled streets in the USA!
On the day of the wedding we got to the office for 6 am, the atmosphere was amazing. On the corner of Park Street and Sheet Street we had a media stand with Sky and various photographers. I really can’t praise the Thames Valley police enough, they were fantastic. Then oh NO ….no Portaloos at our end of the route. No problem we opened our doors to the Police, Emergency services and the media so they didn’t have to stand cross legged.  A sky security officer stood guard at the door to ensure we had no unwanted guests.
Beth and I went to mingle with the crowds and we met our friend Chris the Windsor Town Crier. I was allowed to stand in the press area and managed to film the couple as they passed by (see our Facebook page).
At the end of the day all of us, with the exception of Beth, went home exhausted. She went out and mingled with the stars handing out business cards and having selfies taken with the likes of Emile Sande and Philip Schofield.
A day we will never forget – a day the whole world will never forget. What a lovely couple Harry and Meghan make….
love
